2022 Strategic Speakers

Mr. Humphreys has been the Executive Vice President, Operations of Birchcliff since January, 2022. From October, 2009 to December, 2021, he served as Vice President, Operations. He is responsible for managing Birchcliff’s Drilling, Completions, Facilities, Production and HSE departments, on a day to day basis, as well as playing an active role on Birchcliff’s Executive Management Team. Mr. Humphreys has 36 years of governance, leadership and technical experience in the Canadian oil and natural gas industry. Mr. Humphreys received his Hydrocarbon Engineering Technology diploma from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) and is a long-standing member of the Association of Science & Engineering Technology (ASET).  He also has a Professional Licensee (Engineering) designation with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).  Mr. Humphreys is currently the Past Chair of the Explorers and Producers Association of Canada (EPAC). In addition, he is a Director of Energy Safety Canada (ESC) and sits on the Safety Standards Council (SSC).
