Kitimat LNG

The Kitimat LNG Project is a 50/50 joint venture between Chevron Canada Limited (Chevron) and Woodside Energy International (Canada) Limited (Woodside) through the entire LNG value chain, from natural gas resource development and gas pipeline transmission, to LNG liquefaction, and shipping LNG to end customers. This includes Chevron-Woodside’s ownership in a world-class natural gas resource at the Liard and Horn River basins in northeastern British Columbia that will provide the necessary gas supply to the proposed Kitimat LNG facility.

Chevron and Woodside have extensive global experience in designing, constructing and operating world class LNG facilities, and collectively operate almost 20 percent of global LNG production. In addition to Kitimat LNG, Chevron and Woodside are co-venture partners in the Wheatstone LNG and Northwest Shelf LNG assets in Australia.
